ABOUT ME Patrice Cameron was raised in Michigan and moved to the west coast as a young woman. She quickly developed a life, friendships, and artistic interest in watercolor. Over the years, Patrice would attain mastery in watercolor with awards, national recognition, and publication in The Best of Watercolor magazine. Acrylic painting was added with success and gallery representation. Patrice then entered and completed art school, with a preference in oil painting, and maintains an industrious studio practice. Patrice’s paintings are as upbeat and joyful as she is! Women in harmony with nature are a common theme in her paintings, accompanied by woodland or marine creatures, various birds, and insects. They all have a charming imaginary realism quality which leaves the viewer feeling satisfied and intrigued. Patrice believes in the power of art to uplift and inspire, both of which she has accomplished. Living in Portland, Oregon with her husband and King Charles spaniel, Patrice has her studio overlooking a forested stream that she listens to all year. She paints prolifically, nearly every day, and has an adjoining gallery attached to her studio. This gallery displays her work where she will critique and refine them often. This is part of her process prior to varnishing, and making them available to galleries or for purchase. She is eager to reach others with her gift of optimism and beauty. |
ABOUT MY ART
My oil paintings are upbeat and can cause happiness! Daydreams inspire me. I play with ideas and see my paintings before adding oils onto the canvas. Optimism is laid down with each brushstroke. Women in harmony with nature are a common theme in my paintings. They are often accompanied by animals, birds and insects, which are common symbols, adding deeper meanings. I aim to create a visual language that provides the viewer interest and ultimately, connection. Above all, my paintings are a reflection of my belief in the power of art to uplift and inspire. Enjoy my imaginary world through a lens of positivity and goodness. Your smile as you view them, is my gift to you. |
