ABOUT ME I was raised in Michigan and moved to the west coast as a young woman. I quickly developed a life, friendships, and artistic interest in watercolor. Over the years, I would attain mastery in watercolor with awards, national recognition, and publication in The Best of Watercolor magazine. Acrylic painting was added with success and gallery representation. I recently completed an intensive curriculum with a new passion for oil painting. I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband and spaniel. My studio overlooks a forested stream that I listen to all year. I paint nearly every day and have an adjoining gallery attached to my studio. This gallery displays my work where I can critique and refine them. This is part of my process prior to varnishing and making them available to galleries, or for purchase. |
ABOUT MY ART
I am actively engaged with Pacific Northwest nature. I love my hikes near the rivers, countryside, and diverse landscapes. These experiences enhance my life and also find their way into my paintings.
My series..."THE HEALING HEARTS OF WOMEN" is a dedication to the powerful spirit in us all. These imaginary realism paintings of women have stories to share and remind that beauty is sometimes not seen, but felt. Renewal can be born of courage. And nature truly does nurture. My women portray courage, strength, and resilience. |
