Artist Statement
The Vision: Imaginary Realism
These works are created in the style of imaginary realism, merging female inner and outer beauty with the symbolic wonders of the natural world. My goal is to capture the "inner landscape" of my subjects. Through these pairings of women and nature, I explore themes of:
· Diversity & Inner Beauty: Celebrating the unique spirit that resides within every individual, regardless of sex.
· Nurture & Wonder: Reflecting compassion and the beautiful world around us.
· Playfulness & Appreciation: Finding moments of joy and lightness even in times of challenge.
The Collection
The paintings are created with oils on 24x30x1.5-inch gallery-wrapped canvases. I intentionally chose upbeat colors to serve as a visual balm. These light-hearted portraits are dedicated to the powerful spirit that lives in us all—a testament to the fact that while we may face challenges, one’s heart remains a source of limitless strength.
